For the 35th consecutive year, Philadelphia magazine has published its “Best of Philly” issue. Banded together, the information categorized by the mag in such issues since 1974 is a de facto print wiki about the people, places and passions of (upper middle class and above) Philadelphia and its suburbs.

Holy meta!...Check out this video of excessively cute Philly PR lass Paige Wolf singing about social networking at what the YouTube post states was a Yelp event.
Disclosure: We have met Paige twice, though we're pretty sure she wasn't sure who we were because we e-mail more than we meet-up, ya know?

Massive corporations rule the world.
Nowhere is that fact more apparent or relevant than the suburbs, where a chain’s faithful adherence to soulless plasticity can best help it become a safe-haven of economic establishmentarianism, and a magnet for the oft status-quo-craving residents of the ‘burbs. (And mass transit sucks out here.)
Recently, three companies whose products touch the Philly EDGE audience regularly (without consent, we might add) have undergone image tweaking (
Wal-Mart), management restructuring (
Starbucks), or a major merger (
Miller and Coors brewing) and have thusly changed their corporate faces - their logos - to reflect the new day.

Pornsaints (link is NSFW).
(Scratch that, this we do know: If this art were debuting in Bucks County or the Main Line, they’d be loading up Super Soakers with holy water and taking to the streets.)
