Certainly not news, but why is it, with the Blue Route, public trans. and nearly $3 a tank gas that the goddamned Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) is always such a pain in the ass?

"The Constant Gardener" opens this week. While the drama/thriller has received sparkling reviews, couldn't someone have suggested a better friggin' name. It sounds like someone who has an OCD tick about weeds in his yard.

Anybody heard the new Cherry Monroe song "Satellites"? Pittsburgh-based rock-pop band, very hooky song.

..is kinda cool. For a small town, it has a pretty active scene. Stopped by at K.C.'s Alley (six kinds of fries)and at 31 Main last night ($5 pitchers, just like the Phillies!). Both places were fairly crowded.

Until Greater Philly gets its own event (and Philly EDGE thinks that Thunderbird Lanes on Street Road in Warminster would be a perfect locale for it) Philly pholk have to go to New York (October 21 and 22) to celebrate this pop culture film nugget.
Tickets went on sale Wed. August 24.
