For the 35th consecutive year, Philadelphia magazine has published its “Best of Philly” issue. Banded together, the information categorized by the mag in such issues since 1974 is a de facto print wiki about the people, places and passions of (upper middle class and above) Philadelphia and its suburbs.

In celebration of October, the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Cheltenham Center for the Arts (439 Ashbourne Rd. Cheltenham) will present the BreastStrokes Exhibition September 15 - October 20. The show will feature the work of artists who have used their mediums to explore the art of the breast.

Person L, the new band featuring The Starting Line's lead singer/songwriter Ken Vasoli, will release its debut album, Initial, next week.
The band, which plays Friday (Aug. 1) at the Main Street Church in Doylestown with Good Old War (with Keith Goodwin of Days Away), will support Anthony Green (Circa Survive, Saosin) on his upcoming tour, which kicks off next Wednesday, August 6 at the Starlight Ballroom in Philly.

"Windhammer" won the Philadelphia leg of the U.S. Air Guitar championships The Cuervo Black US Air Guitar Championships in June. He will be competing next weekend in San Francisco for the national title.
