Has anyone actually gotten out to see this one yet? It is getting terrific reviews, which always makes me suspicious.
Aeon Flux - Neat special effects. Looks like a flop.
Corpse Bride - The latest from Tim Burton
Doom - The Rock stars in this video game to movie crossover
Stay - With Ewan McGregor, Ryan Gosling and Naomi Watts
Domino - Keira Knightley as a bounty hunter
Just Like Heaven - Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo fall in love despite the fact that she (or rather the character she plays) is dead.
MirrorMask - Bizarre looking one written by Neil Gaiman
Into the Blue - Jessica Alba in a bikini
Serenity - The "Firefly" movie. This is the one I'll be seeing.
Saw that here film debut ("Undiscovered") not only stunk on ice - which is no surprise - but also
flamed out at the box office. Maybe folks are starting to realize what a talentless hack she is.
"The Constant Gardener" opens this week. While the drama/thriller has received sparkling reviews, couldn't someone have suggested a better friggin' name. It sounds like someone who has an OCD tick about weeds in his yard.
We skipped Dukes and saw Skeleton Key last weekend, on the strength of the promotional trailer. Somehow they made Kate Hudson look less cute than usual. Worst part was the movie is just not scary. We want scary. They should have just extended the trailer to five minutes, and allowed us to keep two hours of our lives. We sat in a dark theatre thinking "I'm sitting in this dark theatre watching a not so cute Kate Hudson sleep walk through this movie." At least the John Hurt character was SUPPOSED to be in a coma. John Hurt is a fine actor, but he ain't no Vincent Price.
