I saw Paul Mecurio last night at Rascals in Cherry Hill. He's a two-time Emmy winner for his writing on the Daily Show.
This guys is hilarious. I was blown away. There's still time, he's there tonight and tomorrow night too. Rascals, Cherry Hill, NJ. And for you PA people, there is this cool way to get over the river.
It's called a bridge. No more rowing. Check it out.
I heard Howard Stern talking about the comedian Earthquake and his One Night Stand episode on HBO.
I checked it out on HBO On Demand. The guy is pretty funny, I laughed out loud quite a few times. He's a black comedian who drops in just enough subtle humor about racism and slavery that really makes you think about stuff and puts race relations in perspective.
I dunno ... I'm always on the lookout for new comedians I haven't heard of.

I just got an e-mail from Jim's mailing list that his first ever stand-up CD, "Jim Florentine LIVE: Get the Kids Out of the Room," is out.
He's the dude who does Special Ed on Crank Yankers and is a regular guest on The Howard Stern Show.

Brad Grossman (2031 Samson Street)has put an event together with Helium Comedy
Club to raise money for the American Red Cross Disaster Fund. Helium
has agreed to give all ticket sales for next Thursday's show to the
fund.
Tickets for Thursday are $20 and all of the money from ticket sales
will be donated to the American Red Cross.
Interesting story this morning in the Inquirer about a PA State Rep. who posted some funny stuff on a blog called leachvent.com. Unfortunately it looks like the site has already been taken down. Hey man, if you can't take the heat, get out of the State house!
with all the (well deserved )whoopdedoodle about the sparkly new club Helium in
center city, let's not forget that a good time can be had in skippack!
Sam Eatons is an intimate space (holds about 60) up in the Skippack (near lansdale).
If this place were in the village it would be the hippest thing since Lenny Bruce--
but since it's in Skippack its kind of like having a bunch of rowdy, funny friends over
for a beer. Great sound. No bad seats. Tonight's headliner Alan Marx is always
a great treat.
Or--go out to Doylestown and see Brad Trackman at Poco's. But don't take my word for it--
I thought that Andy Dick, Sara Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel were all hysterical on the Pam Anderson Roast, on Comedy Central on Sunday, and, as usual, I thought David Spade was about as funny as stepping in dogshit.
