Open Mic Night Wednesday nights at Puck in Doylestown

If you're a real music lover, you've got to get to Puck in Doylestown any Wednesday night for their open mic night.  It's really more like a singer/songwriter performance night because that talent is THAT strong.  I've already seen some of the best musicians in the area perform...Mike Seward, Mosaik, Mike Pheiffer and more.  Plus, the venue has a great vibe and is very welcoming.  Everyone is this scene seems to really support one another.  Tell a friend, Wednesday nights at Puck is a great place to try out a new song you've got written, interact with reall music lovers and enjoy a light snack too!

Over the years, the Witches & Wizards Ball has become of the most talked about events in Burlington County attracting people from as far as Philadelphia and New York. This year’s Ball promises to be even bigger and better.

In addition Professional Fire Dancers, will be spotlighting their spectacular fire dancing abilities. The South Jersey Ghost Research Company will be on hand throughout the evening to talk about the ghost research they have performed in South Jersey including an animated ghost story reading.

Sounds from the Shed

Philly EDGE correspondent Michael Lello took in Bruce Hornsby, Bob Weir and Ratdog Tuesday night at the Mann Center. His review follows...
-ED

PHILADELPHIA — You can call it another stop on the long, strange trip that’s been bending minds since the Grateful Dead came alive in 1965, you can call the Mann Center that “lazy summer home” from the song “Eyes Of The World” and muse to yourself, like in “Eyes,” that “the heart has its seasons, its evening and songs of its own.”
Heck, you could even make up your own lyric-driven cliché, but the fact is that a lot of wonderfully weird stuff went down Tuesday night when Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers and Bob Weir and Ratdog — the former a one-time Dead touring member, the latter a founding Dead man — shared a bill at the quaint concert shed in Fairmount Park.

Finally, justice for Ashlee Simpson

 Movies

Saw that here film debut ("Undiscovered") not only stunk on ice - which is no surprise - but also
flamed out at the box office. Maybe folks are starting to realize what a talentless hack she is.
