[ ] A home in Hatboro provides the location for 2Xtreme Wrestling- a backyard version of the staged, scripted sports entertainment. (Intelligencer)

From the story:

…On the 200 block of Penn Street in Hatboro, Mike Brettle enjoys some quiet time with a cigarette on the front porch before heading out for some Sunday socializing with his wife and a few friends. All the while in the backyard, his son and his friends are flying around, putting the finishing touches to the sixth annual Blood Fest. Complete with a 12-foot square ring, lights, music and a stage highlighted with computer images, the show is 2XW's “signature event” and has drawn spectators from as close as next door and as far away as Long Island, N.Y….
…And while the event draws the attention of many neighbors, they do not show up angrily carrying torches and pitchforks, but lawn chairs, cameras and enthusiasm. Over 60 people — including parents and grandparents — came to what was a cross between “Wrestlemania” and a block party….

Douche-y, yes, but we would absolutely love for this to move to Doylestown. And, fwiw, how is it that wrestling in a backyard attracts 60 people, but there are talented local musicians that can’t get 5 people to see them play.
