… The decision to lease land from the county also came after reviewing returned results from a survey on local recreation. The township council said it mailed out thousands of surveys with its recent newsletter. About 600 responded.
 
The overwhelming majority of those who voted in the poll said the town needed a skate park, not the three-hole golf course proposed by the county for its lands near Five Points.
 
Eighty-three percent of those polled said they oppose construction of a golf course. …
