[ ]  Hersheypark is opening its new roller coaster, Fahrenheit (at right), Saturday (May 24) with the claim that the new ride has the steepest decent in the nation. The coaster pulls its cars 121 feet in a 90-degree ascent before making a 97-degree drop. The full ride, which includes an inverted loop and corkscrew roll, takes just 85-seconds and reaches just less than 60 miles per hour. (PennLive)

[ ]   The lure of free food had hundreds camping out in front of the new Chick-fil-A in BurlCo this morning. (CBS3 and BCT)

…At the front of the line were the Knupps of Virgina, who are no strangers to the experience. In the past year, the couple have camped out at 17 of the fast-food chain's grand openings. At each restaurant, they each received 52 coupons for a free meal.

 

…Now the couple are hooked. Since July they have traveled to 17 grand openings in 10 states, putting 27,000 miles on their car. They have traveled as far as Florida and Ohio. ….Over the past year, the Knupps have collected more than 1,700 free-meal coupons, and they eat at Chick-fil-A at least twice a week. They say they often give the coupons to their grandsons, friends, or those who are less fortunate.

 

While camping out, the couple have endured 106-degree temperatures, pouring rain, and wind gusts that blew their tent across the parking lot. Libby Knupp recalled one night when they huddled under umbrellas inside their leaky tent to stay dry. But they never moved from their spot in line.

 

“The only way we are leaving is on a stretcher,” she said.
