[ ] The first annual
Great Pennsylvania FlavorFest is set for Memorial Day weekend, May 24 and 25, on the grounds of the Mount Hope Estate and Winery (Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, Route 72, ½ mile south of PA Turnpike Exit 266) in Lancaster County.
Pennsylvania-based food, beer and wine offerings “and the finest in Pennsylvania artisan crafts” will be on display and available for purchase. We’re talking 16 wineries, six breweries and a shoo-fly pie load of food merchants.
Celebrity chef Jim Coleman and nationally-known beer and spirits guy Lew Bryson of Newtown, will each conduct two presentations on both Saturday and Sunday. Many other food demos and products will be featured as well.
Just for shits and giggles, wouldn’t it be GREAT to have a FlavorFlavFest in Dutch Country?

Phoodie, we’re also salivating at their uncovering of two Philly dishes we know we will try soon:

McDonald’s is giving away its Southern-Style Chicken Biscuits and Sandwiches all day tomorrow.
…This created a stir in Center City as evidenced here…and here. There were Mummers and unicycles and Jennifer Aniston doing the Chicken Dance and… LOOK – we told youse – it’s a really ordinary fucking sandwich. Think of it like making out with someone really hot, who doesn’t kiss. Well. At. All.
