Philly People: Taylor Swift comes (back) to the suburbs, Stuttering John in Philly and oh to be a Philly blogger

[ ]   Reading-borncountry music artist Taylor Swift has signed a deal with Bristol Twp.-based Jones Apparel’s l.e.i. line, which will be sold at Wal Mart beginning this summer. (Courier Times blog)

Swift, at right, wearing pleather and a fetching vest.

[ ]   Dept. of Missed This (Not Invited): Philadelphia Style, the glossy mag recently sold to new ownership, held a re-launch party last Friday at City Hall. Looks like Jon Bon Jovi, who attended, will be on the first ‘new’ cover. Also there: McWeathery, Kerri-Lee Halkett, John Bolaris and Mayor Nutter. (PhillyChitChat)

We won’t pick a side in the Phillymag and Philly Style Spy vs. Spy battle, but we can unequivocally say that we prefer Sarah Schaffer to Larry Platt strictly on the basis that she has 100 percent more hair…(and vagina).

[ ]   Former Howard Stern, and current Tonight show, sidekick John Melendez is set to appear May 27 at f.y.e. records (100 South Broad St., Philadelphia) to promote the DVD release of National Lampoon’s One, Two, Many, a film which co-stars Philly actress Jennifer Sciole (and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban!). Melendez will sign from noon to 2 p.m. (Courier Times blog)

[ ]   Fresh on the heels of news of his acting debut with noted thespian Flavor Flav, Terrell Owens’ reps hint that there will be more (porn?) screen time for T.O.…Deadspin connects the adult dots. (Deadspin)

[ ]   Philly bloggers Johnny Goodtimes, Dan McQuade and Liz Spikol all received cross-media nods this week/weekend. Goodtimes and DMac on Fox 29 and Spikol in The New York Times (!) and on the Huffington Post. …oh, and A.J. Daulerio is featured on the new On the DL podcast.
