From the story:
…By 2025, the United States simply won't have enough power plants to meet its needs. “It's either conservation, or we will face total meltdown,” Rendell said…

[ ] Bensalem, home of Philly Park Casino, may see more than 1,100 new homes AND, of course, another big ol’ casino building at the track. (
Courier Times)
From the story:
…The largest project, Philadelphia Park's standalone casino, will be walled in glass, Vice President Tom Bonner told the planning board. At roughly 260,000 square feet, the diamond-shaped structure could someday house as many as 4,000 slot machines, a food court and a banquet hall.
And economic woes could only work to the casino's advantage, Bonner said. With gas expected to hit $4 a gallon this summer, the casino will roll out a new “stay and play” advertising campaign that “no one should have to waste a tank of gas to have a good time.” …
Philly EDGE suggests cutting out the appearance of propriety. Just have the condos built next to the track and make sure each new home is rigged with an assortment of gaming machines. That way: people could actually bet their fucking houses.
