Pierre Robert wine; today a press release lets us know that Hall of Fame Phillies 3B Mike Schmidt is launching his own wine label.
Philadelphia baseball legend Mike Schmidt is launching his own wine labels with other members of the exclusive 500 Home Run Club: Ernie Banks and Eddie Murray. 100% of player proceeds go directly to the charity of the player's choice:
- Mike Schmidt 548 Zinfandel (launching in Philadelphia) -- supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
- Ernie Banks 512 Chardonnay (launching in Chicago) -- supporting the Ernie Banks Live Above & Beyond Foundation
- Eddie Murray 504 Cabernet (launching in Baltimore) -- supporting the Baltimore Community Foundation
These 500 Home Run Club wines are produced by Eos Estate Winery out of Paso Robles, California and will be available to the general public in May. Expected retail per bottle of wine is $17. There will be a launch event held on May 2 at Citizens Bank Park with Schmidt.
