[ ]   Not sure why you would do this, but if you mix a Slurpee and a cappuccino you get a Slurpuccino. The coffee-flavored frozen drink is available at 7-Eleven stores at 99 cents for a 12-ounce cup; $1.69 for  40-oz.

 

 

[ ]    Maybe it’s because even trying to get into the parking lot of the Jenkintown Starbucks or Wawa (click ‘Street View’) is sometimes impossible, but all of a sudden the Jtown-Abington-Willow Grove area is undergoing a coffee shop boom. And no new Starbucks.

       

-         A Saxby’s is nearing completion next to Peace A Pizza at 1140 Old York Road in Abington. It’s a bit sterile, but at least most Saxby’s do offer live entertainment.

 

-         Jenkintown Java is scheduled to open at Leedom St. and Greenwood Ave. in the building that formerly housed the Jenkintown Hobby Center.

 

-        Dolce Cafe, an Italian-inspired shop, is nearing its debut on Moreland Road in Willow Grove (just west of Franconi’s Pizza).
