[ ] Former Phillies / current Houston Astros GM Ed Wade subtly nudged Mr. Schilling beneath the Greyhound in Wednesday’s USA TODAY while talking about his ace pitcher Roy Oswalt.
"I think people have underestimated the ability of our starting rotation," Wade says. "In 16 years in Philadelphia, we kept living with the fact that we didn't have a No. 1 starter. Here, I come into a situation where not only do we have a No. 1, but a guy whose stats stack up against anyone in the game."

We always get Eagles/Wings cheerleader calendars…where is the Phils’ Wives Calendar? That might be more popular than the Flyers Wives Carnival.
[ ] Finally! Major League Soccer in Philly/Chester…zzzzzzzzzzzzz. (Inky)
[ ] The (undefeated) Philadelphia Wings – they play lacrosse, which is like soccer with sticks – are offering anyone born on Leap Day (February 29) two free tickets to see the Wings take on the New York Titans at the Wachovia Center this Friday at 8 p.m.
Each “leapling” will also be able to get on the field at intermission, while thousands of Wings fans sing “Happy Birthday.”
The Wings are also encouraging single women whose boyfriends have not popped the question yet, to turn the tables and do that at the game as well.
And everybody should wear red.
And…Good GOD: Just go, so the team doesn’t think of any other incentives, wouldjya!?! Tickets are still available.
