News to reuse: Alycia Lane’s charges to be dropped, Bucks hopes cars can run on M&Ms and think before you dial

[ ]   Former CBS3 anchor Alycia Lane appeared in a New York City court this morning. A judge ruled that if she stays trouble-free for six months, all charges in the Dec. 16 incident will be removed from her record. (Philly.com)

She is totally gonna walk-on the set and hit Larry Mendte and Susan Barnett with a chair.

[ ]   A pissing match is keeping (another) Wawa from being built in the ‘burbs. (Courier Times)

       From the story:
The convenience store giant, who wants to install 16 gas pumps in addition to a store, is fighting township zoning, claiming that barring the company from building a gas station in a commercial district within 1,500 feet of existing facilities is unconstitutional and an example of spot zoning….The spot is zoned commercial and the township only allows gas stations in highway-commercial zoning.
Michael Solomon, an independent planning consultant…said the ordinance correlates gasoline stations with auto body work, but “the Wawa won't do body work.”
Further, he said, gas is a retail item equitable to, say, candy bars.
“Can you power your car with a candy bar, Mr. Solomon?” asked
Michael Savona, counsel hired by the township to defend the ordinance.

Sigh… this explains why there is no Wawa in Newtown Borough.
You need gas after 9 p.m.? Fuck you: All you can get is a Slurpee from the wacked-out nightshift guy at the 7-Eleven…unless cars can run on Slurpee or candy bars or…
