[ ]   Boaters wanting to launch their dinghy at Tullytown’s Franklin Cove will need to wait longer…like, until the nearby, big effing smelly landfill fills up. (Courier Times)

From the story:

An agreement signed between Waste Management and Tullytown in 2003 provides for the deed transfer only after the landfill is full. And while it may finally allow for access to the river, not everyone is eager to see the landfill close.
 …
Tullytown receives millions of dollars in tipping fees as host to the landfill. The borough is sitting on a $30 million nest egg from trash tipping fees, and the annual “gift” to all property owners swelled to $5,000 in December.

Waste Management and Tullytown Borough did not say if they would have Ted Lange, Bernie Koppel or Dawn Wells and Tina Louise at the eventual opening of the boating area, though we figure Yardley’s Jill Whelan is a gimmie.
