Philly Sports Backwash: Stephen A. becomes a GM and Patrick J. Murphy, President of Eagles Nation, does a book tour

[ ]   Renowned blogger Former Inky sports columnist Stephen A. Smith served as GM of the ‘New Orleans’ team in the NBA All-Star ‘Celebrity’ Game1. His head coach was Gabrielle Union, who was there because the premise of her next movie involves her and other “miniature aliens” piloting Eddie Murphy’s body to save their universe.
Yes, really. So it was either hype the film through this game or offer fellatio to every man in America willing to buy a ticket to Pluto Nash II: WTF? Starship Dave.
       Sorry, we digress…
Analyst Bill Walton and actress/clothing designer Alyssa Milano were the respective GM and coach of the ‘Hornets’ team.
Why the NBA didn’t just have an hour of Stephen A. and Bill Walton debating Daffy Duck vs. Donald Duck while Union and Milano wrestle nearby in lingerie, I’ll never know.
Anyway, in case you missed the game, somebody at InsideHoops had to live blog the whole FUCKING contest, whose quirky, WWE-like twist was having current asshole Cowboy former Eagles WR Terrell “That’s my teammate…” Owens walk onto the court and walk off with the MVP after schooling everyone.
       Ugh.

1-  Quotation marks are mine. I am fairly certain that any of the players listed could walk into a bank with a gun, hand out copies of their audio/video work prior to robbing the place, and the police would still be looking to put together a composite sketch after talking to tellers and checking the closed-circuit monitors.– Ed.
