News to reuse: Yardley Yeti puts on swimmies, what Philly sounds like and Patrick Murphy can now run for President of Philly

[ ]  Pa. Congressman Patrick Murphy, D-8, seemingly locks in the blue-collar, team name-spelling vote for LIFE by becoming the only member of the House not to endorse a resolution congratulating the New York Giants on winning this year’s Super Bowl.

From the Courier Times story:
“As a former 700-level security guard and lifelong Eagles fan, I couldn’t, in good conscience, vote for the New York Giants,” Murphy said Thursday. “The only thing worse would have been a resolution honoring the Dallas Cowboys.”

Oh snap! Murphy, Ed Rendell and Arlen Specter are somewhere right now painting their chests midnight green.

[ ]  The Delaware River will crest below flood stage on Thursday, but that doesn’t mean people won’t panic:

From a Courier Times story:
“I'm just sick of this,” said Joan Wright of Yardley. “I think I died and moved to hell. This has been horrible.”

(No, Ms. Wright: Hell would have a gas station open past 8 p.m. and at least one great bar. – Ed.)
