Screen and Stage: Philly falls on another list (sigh), club-hopping author to host a screening series and Mayor Nutter is Invinc

[ ]    Impresario, the recently launched Philly mag blog by the incomparable Victor Fiorillo, notes that Philly has fallen to No. 5 (from No. 2) on MovieMaker magazine’s best cities in which to make movies.

[ ]    Saw an ad for On the Make: The Hustle of Urban Nightlife a book written by Penn professor David Grazian a few weeks back. It chronicles Philly nightlife. Sort of.
He’ll be at University of Pennsylvania Bookstore (3601 Walnut St., Philadelphia) tonight (Jan. 30) AND he’ll be hosting an upcoming film in the Philebrity Screening Series at National Mechanics.

[ ]   Speaking of the Philebrity Series, Mayor Michael Nutter will host a screening of Invincible tomorrow (Jan. 31) at 7:30 p.m.

[ ]   And to bring this full circle to a close, we’d take the aforementioned Mr. Fiorillo’s advice on Body of Water which is currently being put on  by the Act II Playhouse in Ambler.
