The Sound of Urban-delphia is in “A Ghetto Love Story”

This Philadelphia songbird is bringing back the true essence of R&B music!

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA- Philadelphia has a proud tradition of superb female vocalists.  Whether it is the operatic sound of Marian Anderson, the soaring vocal acrobats of Patti Labelle, or the mellow joy of Neo-Soul artist Jill Scott, Philly girls are known to throw down.  Now, in that same throwing down tradition, is the arrival of Neesh.  This Logan native, with her melodic rhythm and bluesy lics, packs a powerful punch and it can all be heard in her debut mix CD entitled “A Ghetto Love Story”.

“A Ghetto Love Story” captures so many emotions, like the pain of loving and losing in “Last Time” (which can be heard on 107.9 FM, “The Sound of Philadelphia” Show), as well as partying and having fun in the hip-hop influenced “Where I’m From” (currently in rotation on 100.3 FM with JDS).  The true meaning of R&B is here in this CD and there is something for everyone; the story-telling for women and lovers, the phenomenal sound for true music enthusiasts, and not to mention eye candy for the guys.

Neesh had the opportunity to sing for her favorite R&B legend Ms. Patti Labelle and got the stamp of approval.  Ms. Labelle’s comment was “ you are a singing lil !@tch”, which is a compliment of the highest degree and the same compliment Patti received over 45 years ago when she first started.  Patti was so impressed that she invited Neesh to perform for her family, friends, and guests at her annual Christmas party.

Neesh has had the privilege to work with a roster of artists from the Hip-Hop and R&B world. Such artists include Jadakiss, Timbaland, Philly’s own Dre and Vidal, and Vivian Green just to name a few.  Sunday, November 19, 2006 @ 9:00 p.m. at Trago’s Lounge located at 40 South 19th Street (off of Market Street), she will be unveiling her dynamite new CD “A Ghetto Love Story”.  Come and check out your latest female vocalist to represent the Philadelphia Legend.  You can also visit Neesh online at www.myspace.com/Neeshthesongstress.
