Cheltenham Art Center galleries are graced by the vivid colors of paintings from various artists of the Tri-State area. Close to 200 artists have submitted paintings for the 64th Annual Juried Awards Painting Exhibit that runs from April 30 thru May 26, 2006 with an opening reception on April 30, 2006.

Gallery owners Rodger LaPelle and his wife Christine McGinnis, both accomplished artists, will jury this year’s show as a team. Their own work will hang along side the works that they select for the exhibition, giving artists an opportunity to see the vision that played into the selection of work. LaPelle and McGinnis have entered their work in this exhibition for many years, periodically being accepted and selected as prize winners. It is with pleasure that we now invite Rodger and Christine to jury this exhibition.

On Wednesday May 10 @ 7PM International House Reelblack Presents: RUNT, written
and directed by Michael Phillip Edwards produced by Dale Obert. 90 minutes.
Not Rated (Contains nudity, explicit language)

Runt is a strikingly passionate story of a Jamaican-American man who is forced
to confront the ancestral demons of his past in order to be the man he wants
to be for his son. Christopher Davis, a writer, returns home to Jamaica when
he feels his snap coming on. A snap is what his family describes as the moment
the nice gentle Jamaican man everyone knew, all but disappears to reveal the
headstrong, sexually deviant, macho prideful male that lives within. Through
flashbacks, we study a character that is complex and passionately layered. PHILADELPHIA
