Starting Monday (March 6) at noon the station will pit 64 of the biggest names in modern and classic rock against each other in MM-arch Madness. Listener votes will determine which rockers advance through the brackets to the final on March 12 – when two bands will vie for the championship. Philly faves the Rolling Stones, U2, Pearl Jam and Audioslave (a slight shocker) are No. 1 seeds from the regions which have been broken down into respective decades (70s-00s) Among the most interesting first round match ups are Springsteen vs. the Grateful Dead, Tom Petty vs. The Police, STP vs. Bush and Nickelback vs. Fuel. FWIW- Philly EDGE thinks that low seeds The Killers (over Coldplay), Disturbed (over 3 Doors Down) and Crue (over Bon Jovi) have the best chance to pull first-round upsets.
