Bar News: TigerShark’s in Southampton is ready, Keswick Tavern 10th Anniversary tonight, and Red Bull race coming to Philly

[ ]   TigerShark’s (727 2nd Street Pike, Southampton), whose dining room is pictured at right, seems ready for business in these pictures. The Southampton (Buxco) restaurant and bar offers “Nightly Entertainment…Live Shark Tank…Happy Hour Shark Feeding…and Limo & Valet Parking Available.”

OK show of hands: When’s the last time you saw sharks being fed during Happy Hour? Ought to be cool.

[ ]   The Trump Marina in Atlantic City is being sold to a New York company affiliated with singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett. (Inky)

From the story:

…it will rename and rebrand it Margaritaville, Trump officials said this morning. …

Here’s hoping it’s not the same Buffett touch as Cheeseburger in Paradise at Oxford Valley Mall, whose service is downright awful.

[ ]   The Keswick Tavern (Easton Road and Keswick Ave. Glenside) celebrates its 10th Anniversary tonight (May 29).

In the bar business, 10 years is indeed an accomplishment. Nod to them, and to the biggest TV screen in eastern Montco. Never hard to see a game.

[ ]   A local Hampton Inn has joined the fight against bare titties in upper Bucks County. (The Intelligencer)

From the story:

Coyotes Show Club, an all-nude strip bar in Milford, is at the center of another legal dispute.

The Hampton Inn, which neighbors the bar, appealed Milford supervisors' decision to allow Coyotes to do business in the Upper Bucks township. …The appeal says Coyotes never proved it is 1,000 feet from a residential district, school, recreational facility or church, as township law requires.

The suit calls attention to the fact that a 3.6-acre park abuts Coyotes and suggests it could be a recreational facility since, it alleges, the township's ordinance does not define what constitutes such a facility. …

Actually, it’s sort of a partially wooded wetland, but Hersheyboobs  Titsy Park  Six Knockers Juggsland would be the Best. Park. Ever.

[ ]   Budding engineers who love alcohol mixed with energy drinks are in luck: The Red Bull Soapbox Race, a national race for amateur drivers, has a meet-up at the Manayunk Brewery tonight (May 29) from 7 p.m.-10 p.m.  Those registering a design for a Soapbox in the September 6 race will get Red Bull specials all night tonight.

From the site:

…This unique non-motorized racing event challenges both experienced racers and amateurs alike to design and build outrageous, human-powered soapbox dream machines and compete against the clock in a downhill race….

Hmmm…Downhill race. Manayunk. Where have I heard that before?
