For those who might not have heard/seen, CBS 3 anchor Alycia Lane was arrested for allegedly assaulting a (off-duty) New York City police officer this weekend.

Of course, the fervor¹ around the incident is dizzying given Lane's very public past and present and that she is a permanent fixture on the list of "Top Three Philly TV Personalities Men of Philadelphia Would Like to See Naked"²

We'll stay tuned to the developments, which may include Lane being edited out of a CBS-3 holiday special scheduled to air tomorrow night, a chat by the crew at Philebrity about the various implications of this on everything and Michael Smerconish hoping that he can write a book along with the female officer allegedly assaulted,⁴ perhaps opportunistically capitalizing on Lane's continuing legal case.⁵
