[ ]  Don’t panic… it’s just for three hours.
     Three. Long. Hours.
     Without coffee.
The big coffee conglomerate, which has fallen on some tough times as of late, is shutting down 7,100 of its locations for three hours (5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) on Tuesday, Feb. 26 in order to retrain its baristas.

Track of the Week: Patrick Grant. See him at the Tin Angel Jan. 19

Fervid Philly EDGE readers should remember Patrick Grant from a story we did on the fine young man in the print version last May; he won the April Open Mic competition we held at Puck in Doylestown and the story was part of his prize.

Truth is, he deserved a story regardless.

The singer/songwriter from Lansdale is as active as ever: He'll be playing the Tin Angel this Saturday (Jan. 19) at 10:30 p.m. and he'll be recording a DVD during an all ages show at Puck on Sunday, Jan. 27.

Warminster’s Mike Vogel talks about Cloverfield

Getting Mike Vogel to dish the details on his latest film, Cloverfield, is like pulling teeth—which is to say, it’s damn near impossible. Because the 28-year-old actor, who endured years of braces and mouthpieces as a kid, didn’t let a dentist anywhere near his mouth for 10 years.

News to reuse: More dumping on Lower Bucks?, Taco Bell is cheap but Dunkin Donuts iced coffee is FREE

[ ]    Industrial company Rohm and Haas may allow dirt and other materials dredged from the Delaware River to be dumped on its property along the river in Bristol Township (right). (Courier Times)

Philly EDGE does not understand – at all – why there seems to be a resignation of acceptance of dumping (see: Landfill, Tullytown) in an area that has incredible potential. Seriously, the Delaware is so much more scenic than the Schuylkill, yet, it is surrounded by industrial misanthropy.
